本中心是新加坡首个以潮州文化为主的研究中心。我们致力于让更多人，无论国籍、籍贯或老少，了解潮州文化的起源与潮州文化在新加坡的传承与演变。
The Centre is the first Teochew resource-based research centre in Singapore. Our aim is to let more people, regardless of nationality, ethnic group or age, have a better understanding of the origins of the Teochew culture and how it has evolved over the years in Singapore.
本中心提供最广泛的潮州文化资源，包括与潮州文化相关的书籍、戏曲的演出刊物、会馆与社团纪念特刊、数码化的黑胶潮州戏曲音档等等。除此之外，我们也推广新加坡与海外潮州籍贯作者的书籍和作品，让他们的文字和创作能得到大众的关注。
The Centre has an extensive collection of both local and overseas Teochew culture-related resources, ranging from Teochew culture related books and magazines to Teochew Opera vinyl records that have been converted to digital tracks. The Centre also has a collection of work produced and written by local and overseas Teochew ethnic artists and writers, providing a platform to showcase their work.
本中心由著名潮籍收藏家杨应法与杨应群贤昆仲出资设立，并以其父亲为名，承袭杨家对艺术收藏的热爱，也借此纪念他对于保留与推动文化的贡献。
The Centre is funded by the well-known Singaporean Teochew art collectors, Mr Yeo Eng Koon and Mr Yeo Eng Huat. The brothers named the Centre after the late Mr Yeo Khee Lim to carry on his legacy as a collector, as well as commemorate him and his efforts in preserving and promoting culture.
